ABA TECHSHOW 2027

About this conference

ABA TECHSHOW pairs CLE-accredited education with a legal technology expo, and its centre of gravity is the smaller practice: it regularly attracts around 2,000 attendees, primarily solo, small-firm and mid-size firm lawyers, along with roughly 150 exhibitors. Sessions are practical rather than theoretical, covering practice management systems, billing, document automation, security and, increasingly, AI, and they are taught largely by practising lawyers and consultants rather than by vendors. A startup pitch competition and a startup exhibit area run alongside the main hall. ABA membership reduces registration, and expo-only access costs less than the full conference for anyone whose main goal is to see products. The 2027 edition is at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. Large-firm IT staff will find more depth at ILTACON.
