About this conference

NAEYC's Annual Conference is the largest early childhood education gathering in the US, drawing teachers, programme directors, family child care providers, higher education faculty, researchers and advocates working with children from birth through age eight. The four-day programme mixes research presentations with practical professional-development workshops, and the expo carries curriculum, classroom materials, assessment tools and services aimed at early childhood centres and programmes rather than at K-12 districts. Policy and advocacy sessions on funding, workforce compensation and programme quality standards run alongside the classroom-practice content, reflecting how much of this sector's work is political. Accreditation and leadership content is pitched at directors rather than at classroom staff. NAEYC membership reduces the registration rate. The 2027 conference is scheduled for Chicago.
