HIMSS is the largest health information and technology conference in the US, typically drawing 30,000+ healthcare IT professionals, clinicians and executives along with 1,000+ exhibitors. HIMSS27 opens with a preconference day on Monday, April 5, followed by the main conference and exhibition April 6-8 at McCormick Place. Preconference forums and symposia are ticketed separately from the main pass, which explains much of the price spread, and continuing education credit is available for eligible sessions. The exhibition is the centre of gravity: this is where health systems do vendor evaluation at scale, and the floor is large enough that most attendees plan routes before arriving.
