About this conference

The ABA Annual Meeting is the American Bar Association's largest gathering and combines three fairly different things: CLE programming, working meetings of the association's sections, divisions and committees, and the House of Delegates session that sets ABA policy. It typically draws several thousand lawyers, judges and legal professionals from across the United States. Much of the schedule can be attended at no charge, with tickets needed for meal functions, receptions and award programmes, so what an attendee actually pays depends more on the social calendar than on the sessions. Bar association officers, delegates and section leaders make up a large share of the room. The 2027 meeting is in Chicago. The winter Midyear Meeting is the smaller, more strictly governance-focused counterpart.
