UXCON26
October 7–8, 2026 • Washington, DC
About this conference
UXCON is the largest UX conference on the East Coast, running two days at the Silver Spring Civic Building just outside Washington, DC. The programme covers AI integration in design practice, accessibility, design leadership and cross-functional collaboration — the last being a consistent theme, reflecting an audience of practitioners who work inside product organisations rather than agencies. The DC location draws an unusual concentration of government, civic technology and federal contractor designers, which gives accessibility sessions more practical weight than at most design conferences, since Section 508 compliance is a working requirement for much of the audience. Its scale is modest compared with the large West Coast design events, and that is largely the point: two days, a single track structure, and enough attendees to talk to without a scheduling app.
