About this conference

The AIA Conference on Architecture & Design is the American Institute of Architects' flagship annual event, combining continuing-education sessions, keynotes and a large expo of building products and services for architects and design professionals. It typically draws well over 10,000 architecture and design professionals, and the 2027 edition, AIA27, is at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, May 19-22. Much of the practical draw is licensure-related: sessions carry AIA learning units, including health, safety and welfare credit, which for many attendees is what gets the trip approved. AIA membership reduces the registration price meaningfully, and expo-only access exists for those who mainly want to see manufacturers. Building tours of the host city are a long-standing part of the programme, are booked separately from the main registration and fill before the conference opens.
