About this conference

SIGGRAPH is ACM's annual conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques, typically drawing 15,000-20,000 attendees from research, film and VFX, animation, gaming, AI and real-time graphics. The 2027 edition, chaired by Kristy Pron, moves to the Anaheim Convention Center and spans technical papers, courses, the Computer Animation Festival, Emerging Technologies and a large industry exhibition. The location rotates between a handful of North American cities, so the travel calculation changes year to year. Registration is heavily tiered, from inexpensive exhibition-only access up to full conference passes, and the cheaper tiers exclude the technical papers programme that researchers come for. Recruiting is a genuine part of the event for studios and hardware vendors, and the student volunteer programme remains one of the cheaper routes in for early-career attendees.
