About this conference

The MLB Winter Meetings are the annual gathering of Major League Baseball front offices, player agents, scouts and league personnel, held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. The week hosts the Rule 5 Draft, trade discussions and a concentration of free-agent signings — historically some of the most significant transactions of the offseason are agreed in these hotel lobbies, which is why the baseball press corps attends in force. Minor league executives and affiliate staff meet in parallel. The Baseball Career Conference runs alongside for people seeking work in professional baseball, and is one of the few structured entry points into the industry. Attendance requires industry credentials rather than a purchased ticket, so this is not an event the general public can register for.
