About this conference

CinemaCon is the official convention of Cinema United, formerly NATO, and it is a trade gathering rather than a public film event. The attendees are cinema owners and operators, distributors, concession and equipment suppliers and press, roughly 5,000-6,000 of them from around the world. Studios use the week to present upcoming slates, screen footage and full films, and to put talent on stage in front of the people who will book the screens. The 2027 edition runs April 12-15 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Registration requires industry affiliation, so members of the public cannot simply buy in, and much of the value sits in the studio presentations and the surrounding meetings rather than the trade floor. Anyone wanting a film event open to the public should look at Sundance or SXSW instead.
