About this conference

Anime Expo is the largest anime and Japanese pop-culture convention in North America, drawing well over 100,000 unique attendees for industry panels, premieres, concerts and a large exhibit hall. The 2027 edition takes place July 2-5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, over the Independence Day weekend. It is a public consumer show run by the non-profit SPJA, and badges sell out ahead of the event, with prices stepping up in tiers as the date approaches. Practical planning matters more here than at most conventions: badge pickup and morning entry queues are long, popular panels and premieres are entered by line rather than reservation, and the headline concerts are ticketed or balloted separately from the badge. Premier badges exist largely to buy earlier entry and priority lines.
