About this conference

Star Wars Celebration is the official Lucasfilm-run fan convention, built around cast panels, first-look footage, exhibits and cosplay for well over 100,000 attendees. The 2027 event runs April 1-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, marking the 50th anniversary of the original 1977 film and the first Los Angeles edition since 2006. It does not run every year and rotates between the United States, Europe and Japan, so a domestic edition is never a given. Tickets go on sale in announced waves months ahead and sell out, with four-day passes going first. The main stage is the real constraint of the weekend: the largest panels draw queues that form hours ahead, and past editions have used wristbands or lotteries to manage entry. Exclusive merchandise has typically been allocated by lottery rather than open queueing.
