About this conference

OTC is the long-established offshore energy technology event, covering drilling, subsea systems, offshore wind and decarbonisation, historically drawing 30,000+ attendees from 100+ countries. OTC 2027 runs May 3-5 at Reliant Park in Houston. Despite the breadth of the billing, the centre of gravity remains upstream oil and gas engineering — subsea hardware, rigs, well construction and the supply chain around them — with offshore wind and emissions work a growing but secondary presence. The technical programme is paper-based and peer-reviewed, closer to an engineering conference than a keynote-driven one, and the exhibition spreads across multiple halls plus outdoor space for equipment too large to bring inside. The international share of attendance is high, and Houston hotel rates and cross-town traffic reflect the week.
