DESCRIPTION:Sundance is the leading US showcase for independent film\, premiering roughly 90-100 features plus shorts and episodic work\, and it has historically drawn 70\,000+ in-person attendees. The 2027 edition is the first since the move away from Park City\, running January 21-31 across the Boulder Theater\, Dairy Arts Center\, Chautauqua Auditorium and the CU Boulder campus. It works on two levels at once: a public festival where anyone can buy tickets\, and a working acquisitions market where distributors\, agents and press chase the same premieres. Pass packages go on sale months ahead and the higher tiers carry earlier ticket selection\; individual tickets are released closer to the festival\, and sold-out screenings run a waitlist.
