DESCRIPTION:PAX West is the original Penny Arcade Expo and remains the largest of the PAX events\, drawing 90\,000+ attendees to Seattle over Labor Day weekend. It is a consumer show first: the expo hall carries major publisher booths alongside a substantial indie showcase\, and the programme runs panels\, tournaments\, tabletop free-play\, cosplay and concerts across four days. Unlike a trade-only event\, badges are sold to the public and typically sell out well in advance\, often months before the show. Tabletop occupies a genuinely large footprint rather than a token corner\, and the indie sections are where most attendees find things they had not heard of.
